Ed Cross, “The Restoration Lawyer,” is President of Law Offices of Edward H. Cross & Associates, PC in Palm Desert, California.  He is licensed to practice law in California and Hawai’i and has dedicated his 25-year legal career to the representation of cleaning and restoration contractors.  Mr. Cross has drafted hundreds of cleaning and restoration contracts, and has represented several hundred local and national restorers in contract disputes, collection matters, workmanship claims and standard of care issues.  He was a contributor to the RIA’s WLS examination, and the IICRC Water Damage and Mold Standards, as well as its COVID-19 Report.  He has been a lecturer for the Kent State University Restoration Project Management program since 2010.  He has published over 70 articles in restoration industry trade journals and has given more than 130 invited presentations to the restoration industry nationwide.  He has earned the Avvo rating of “superb” and was selected as one of Palm Springs Magazine’s top lawyers for the last eight consecutive years.  His website, TheRestorationLawyer.com, hosts the restoration industry’s only dedicated online store for Standardized Cleaning & Restoration Contract Forms, Releases and Disclaimers. Mr. Cross was the founding Chairman of the Advocacy and Government Affairs (AGA) Committee of the Restoration Industry Association (RIA), and is engaged by RIA as Restoration Contractor Advocate, pursuing a fair and level playing field, legally and financially, for restorers nationwide.  He is the host of "Face the Advocate," the talk show where industry stakeholders respond to consensus positions taken by RIA.
